Polaris - The Land Development Guide

For centuries Polaris - the north star - has provided guidance and stability to people from all walks of life who live in the northern hemisphere. Sea-faring and land-based explorers used the sun and stars to find their way to new lands and back home again. Every map and chart produced contains a north arrow so that the map user can orient themselves. In today’s world Global Positioning Systems (GPS) are rapidly replacing the older tools such as the compass and the sextant, but the orientation of the mapping world remains constant and Polaris continues to shine in the north.

Following this tradition, the mission statement of Polaris Consulting Ltd. and Polaris Land Surveying Inc. is to provide a consistent approach to land development and to guide landowners through the process of subdivision and consolidation of property in British Columbia.

Polaris provides a variety of services to the land development industry, with particular expertise in matters of land tenure. These services include:

• Assisting individuals, corporations and government in the land development process;
• Preparing and assessing tender documents for services required in the land development process;
• Preparing and monitoring contracts;
• Investigating and reporting on various aspects of land development;
• Applying for approvals as part of the land development process.
